Digging up Haverhill, again!
The second talk on the archaeology of Haverhill, Tracy looks at St Botolph Church, which was on the corner of crowland road and the rec. This late Saxon church was demolished in the 1500’s, but the churchyard remains and was excavated in the 1990’s before housing was built over it.
Looking at the history from late Saxon through to the 1500’s, come along and find out the history of the Saxon church and what was discovered in the church yard.
